Jun and Christine (Davenport) Apatan serve with CTEN (Commission to Every Nation) on the island of Bohol in the central Philippines. Since 2018, Christine has been serving with a local church (Juagdan ECCU) to provide a caring environment of English language learning for the local community. In 2020, she and Jun were married on Bohol. Together, they support each other in teaching English, mentoring, preaching, translating, and sharing the love of Christ. Looking ahead, the Apatans hope to build a small dormitory near the local high school to support students who travel from a neighboring island and to provide them with Bible studies, life skills training, and mentoring.

Steve and Sandra have been serving with Resonate Global in the Dominican Republic since 1991. Their ministry covers several areas. First, they partner with the Christian Reformed Churches of the DR in leadership development, discipleship, evangelism, construction, and community transformation. Second, they minister with Sinergia Leadership Foundation, which includes 16 Christian Reformed schools (COCREF) serving about 3,500 students in marginal communities. Third, they work with North American volunteer teams and individuals who participate in a variety of cross-cultural and ministry experiences. In addition, Sandra teaches at the International School of Santo Domingo.

Support the Chambillas

José and Lisa met on the mission field and were married in 2006 in Lima, Peru. After serving in various support roles for 15 years in Peru, Wycliffe asked the Chambillas to move to Dallas, Texas. In doing so, José would fill a crucial role in Computer Technical Support, connecting with other computer staff, and working with the many staff that pass through the Americas office. Lisa has two part-time assignments – at the front desk in the Wycliffe Clinic and as Coordinator of Spanish Translations. Together they support the work of translation, helping many indigenous people hear the gospel in their own language. The Chambillas have three children – Laura, Samuel, and Ruthie.

The deVuysts have been serving with Resonate Global in Ukraine since 1998. Together with their partners, they are training church leaders in Ukraine’s post-Soviet, post-Christian, and post-atheist society in order to develop healthy churches with a biblical understanding of Christianity so that God's Kingdom may transform all spheres of life and society. A key aspect of this training includes “Healing Hearts, Transforming Nations”, which leads people through a process of healing and reconciliation centered around a fresh encounter with Jesus at the cross. George and his wife, Sarah, have three children – Abigail, Matthew and Elizabeth.

The Hogue family moved to Okinawa, Japan in October of 2022, to work with Pillar Church of Okinawa. Pillar Okinawa is part of the Acts29 network and has ambitions of reaching the lost on Okinawa through the multiplication of healthy church plants. Vince is serving as the associate pastor for Pillar Okinawa as well as a resident with the Gospel to Okinawa (GTO) initiative. In the future, Vince and Brenna hope to gather a team of local believers in order to plant a church in one of the more remote regions of the island. Vince and Brenna have two daughters, Nelle and Noa, and are members of Bradenton Christian Reformed Church.

As a 4th generation missionary, and great grandson of L.L. Legters, co-founder of Wycliffe, Mark is no stranger to missions. He and his wife, Altia, serve in Merida, Mexico, in southeastern Mexico, where their ministry includes three main areas. First, they pastor a young, growing church. They are also teachers at a Bible school that trains local pastors and church members with a two-year foundations curriculum. Finally, they provide services to the community through business training, mentoring, and arts education with local schools. Their heart’s desire is to equip local Christians to impact their own communities with the gospel through the testimony of their lives, their service and their love.

Middle East

Steve and Frankie

Steve and Frankie moved to the Middle East in 2016. Their work there is extensive. Besides teaching and training pastors through seminary classes, a variety of seminars, as well as English classes for those who desire advanced degrees, they also encourage and support Middle Eastern leaders from around the world through networking, hospitality, visiting, prayer times, and mentoring. In addition, they lead tours and vision trips, as well as support local International English churches. They also lead a young adults cohort program and provide extensive counseling and member care for other workers in the area.
